Hello george! i just rediscovered your magna carta music, so good to hear again. I also used to have a tape of just yourself and your guitar with sweet lorraine and a song that started, 'i'm thinking that it's time for you to go away...' and many other songs i know well in my head! I just wanted to say Hi, find out where you are playing these days. I'm in Edinburgh and Mum lives with John James in Wales. I always remember you coming to play at an anti apartheid gig in Luton. We were so lucky to have you!

I live in Hong Kong now but am a Yorkshire Lad, Born in York and lived in Knaresborough/Harrogate for many years too. Finding your music again on YouTube has been a blessing and I am sharing it with as many people as I can. The Henry's in Knaresborough first introduced me to Magna Carta in 1972 and I have records in my Stuff in Harrogate, I hope. Glad you are still going strong. :-)

I am English, not British. Born of a line in the Yorkshire Dales that goes back some 400 years
Try asking Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull the same question.
MC was signed twice - the first time in 1213.
I honour the name. I grew up with it.
I notice you give no direct contact- in which case given my integrity do not fuck about with what you think might be the case rather than what is actually the case.
Listen to the music. That is all.
Chris Simpson.

What on earth possessed you when you thought it appropriate to name your band the Magna Carta? Have you no respect for the British?
