In Holland's annual Radio 2 Top 2000 Magna Carta is featured with two songs!
Lord Of The Ages is at # 1373. It's the second time this song appears in the list, in 2000 it was at # 512.
Airport Song is at # 1535 this year. It's been in the list every year since the year 2000, when it was at # 930. In the following years it reached 688, 496, 817, 871, 1296, 1204, 1279, 1633 and 1202 (in 2008).

Yes it took a long time, many fans have waited for the cd-release of Prisoners On The Line, this classic album that was released on vinyl only in 1978. The album features monumental songs as Forever, c' Est La Vie, Wild Horses, Song For John and Idle Wind.

Carré concert May 11, 2009
The Band writes:
Dear Friends,
We are now on the final run to The Carré and it seems as though all hell has been let loose as we are now working on the final promotion.
Luckily we have the help of Simône of Le Roy Productions. She is doing a wonderful job, has great ideas and, on the night, you will see a marriage of theatre and music.
This is something that we have always wanted to see as regards 'Lord of the Ages' but the whole show will be given the 'Royal' treatment by Simone and that will be something that you shouldn't miss.
At the start of April we were still working on musical arrangements and Linda went off to Paris to work on something very special with Vic Emerson (ex Sad Cafe) .... you will have to be there on the night to hear the results but we're sure it will be amazing.
I know everyone wants to know who will be joining us on stage... all I can say is that there will be 11 musicians involved and a narrator. Faces from the past will be with us as we pay tribute to 40 years of Magna Carta music.
It promises to be a fantastic evening... a complete 'ONE OFF' Don't miss it because after that it is GONE FOREVER
If you already have your tickets you can be assured of a wonderful evening. If you have not yet booked, we urge you to do so soon as the publicity machine has already started rolling.

De band schrijft:
Lieve vrienden,
We zijn nu bezig met de laatste loodjes voor het Carré concert en we halen nu alles uit de kast om alles te voor elkaar te krijgen; daarnaast zijn we nu druk bezig om de laatste promotionele zaken te regelen.
Gelukkig kunnen we rekenen op de hulp van Simône van Le Roy Productions. Ze doet geweldig werk, heeft geweldige ideeën en, dat zult op de avond zelf ervaren, zal u een huwelijk van theater en muziek doen beleven.
Dit is iets wat we altijd al wilden doen met betrekking tot 'Lord of the Ages'. De hele show zal een ‘Koninklijke’ behandeling door Simone krijgen, iets wat u absoluut niet zou mogen missen!
Begin april werkten we nog druk aan de muzikale arrangementen en Linda reisde naar Parijs om aan iets heel speciaals met Vic Emerson (ex Sad Cafe) te werken... u zult er bij moeten zij deze avond om de resultaten hiervan te horen, want we zijn er van overtuigd dat het verbazingwekkend zal zijn.
We weten dat iedereen graag wil weten wie ons die avond zal vergezellen op het podium… we kunnen alleen zeggen dat er maar liefst 11 muzikanten betrokken zullen zijn en een verteller. Gezichten uit het verleden zullen bij ons op de Bühne staan om samen met ons 40 jaar Magna Carta muziek te vieren.
Het belooft een fantastische avond te worden... en absoluut UNIEK!
Mis het niet, want hierna is het echt voor EEUWIG afgelopen!
Als je inmiddels je kaarten hebt dan kun je verzekerd zijn van een prachtige avond. Heb je nog niet geboekt, dan verzoeken we je dit zo snel mogelijk alsnog te doen omdat de publiciteitsmachine inmiddels van start is gegaan.
Let op: de kaarten zijn BIJNA UITVERKOCHT! Dus wees er snel bij!

MAGNA CARTA on Dutch radio * UPDATED *
On Saturday March 28 MAGNA CARTA will be featured in two radio programmes: First between 12:00 and 13:00 De Bijlage (repeat: Sunday 18:00-19:00) on Radio Noord-Holland and in the afternoon between 16:00 and 18:00 at Radio 2's TROS Muziekcafé This live broadcast comes from Studio Plantage in Amsterdam. Attendance is free! The band will play three songs and will be interviewed by host Daniel Dekker.
LATEST NEWSMagna Carta will be featured at AVRO's Radio 1 cultural radioshow Opium on Saturday April 18th between 12:15 and 13:00. The program will be broadcast live from Desmet Studio (next to the Artis Zoo) in Amsterdam. Admission is free! More on the website Opium Radio.
